Does the US not have rules regarding monopolies? Not that we aren't struggling in Canada but ownership seems to be getting smaller and smaller south of the border.

We haven't had serious antitrust enforcement in decades. Corporate power and corruption has completely rotted corporate accountability and regulatory autonomy, though people here somehow pretend that's not true
