and I really think we deserve some nice things like never having to read about this pasty, unremarkable manbaby and his mid-life identity crisis ever again

I can never quite get over how the lion's share of tech press coverage of meta still treats zuck like an interesting innovator despite the fact he hasn't done anything interesting in the 20 years since he backed ass first into an ad monopoly

New comcept, Z's a WEIMC: Wealth Insulated Arrested Midlife Crisis Dude was throwing spears and riding those silly hover boards over Tahoe and Hawaii at least five years ago. Started speaking with authority on Jiujitsu when he started practicing it three years ago. Etc. Etc.

Well, the capitulating collaborator politicians who sued META have settled for less than pennies, so it will be up to the rest of us.

It really is unfathomable to me how this company continues making money. Every new "innovation" they've announced for like 20 years has been dogshit that people hate.

You don't say: "Internal data was also suggesting that autonomous AI 'agent' technology at the heart of the strategy was failing to deliver hoped-for productivity gains."

Meta sounds like a horrible place to work. AI increasingly looks like a 'solution' in search of a question as it costs £Billions yet delivers not very much at all, whilst boring old humans have to repair the damage.....Hubris.
