This wasn't an upsell from Starlink to Starshield. Starshield was also speed capped at 160 km/h.

Musk is lying about Ukraine using civilian Starlink on combat drones. Since February, any Starlink terminal operating in motion has needed military Starshield authorization. No Starshield – no connection. Using civilian Starlink on drones was technically impossible. Period.

Ukraine has been using these services to defend their country. The killing is ruzzians commiting genocide by invading Ukraine and murdering their babies in their sleep. Ukraine has every right to defend themselves. Musk simply took away their rights and what Europe paid for because he’s pro 🇷🇺

Starlink sells products to GA pilots for use in-flight where aircraft necessarily must travel faster than 70 k/hr. I don't use the products (nor do I want to support anything Elon does) but, as far as I'm aware, they don't throttle the connection for those customers.
