I have been suffering from fits of coughing since I had a cold in January. I have been to PCP, DO, ENT, Allergist, Urgent Care, and no one has an answer dr me. It feels like I cracked a rib every time I start wheezing. I can't laugh without wheezing into a coughing fit. Got meds for allergies & GERD

I had pneumonia in Nov which triggered uncontrolled asthma. A Symbicort inhaler helped my wheezing a lot. It’s not gone, but it’s a lot better.

Thank you for sharing. I have had an inhaler (Albuterol) for almost a month now, and when I use it, I just cough more. The exhale triggers it. Just started Singulair today. I'm getting dark circles under my eyes, noticed it yesterday. Someone suggested getting the house tested for mold.

My Ventolin (albuterol) inhaler didn’t touch my wheezing, only the Symbicort helped. It sounds awful. Hopefully you can sort it out soon!

No problem! Paroxysmal coughing is awful. If you haven’t had a throat swab, that might be worth a try. Some US states are having issues with pertussis outbreaks.
