The elections are on next Tuesday, and so much is at stake, including the soul of the Democratic Party when it comes to transgender people. I am asking you to leave a very small number of races blank in which a Democrat has embraced extreme anti-trans hate. I make my case here.

I'm going to write about this I think but a best case scenario in the "worrying about Dems taking an anti-trans turn" would see like Hamilton in Kansas elected and Turek eating shit. That would give us solid grounds to further the argument we've been making within the party on trans rights.

Josh Turek made the calculation that he doesn't need the votes of trans people or our friends and allies, so I say we see if his calculation is right. But no one in their right mind would ever vote for a candidate that would take away their daily medication. You shouldn't expect it of trans people.

truly not trying to be confrontational but you kinda baffle me. what makes you think we are even welcome in the room where such arguments are made?

We aren't. But if they see that their pro-trans candidates won in red states and their anti-trans candidates lost in red states, that would make a difference, no?

Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”
