The other day I drove a friend back from the airport and the whole way we talked about how impossible it is to be a woman with ADHD while also managing...everything. About halfway home we realized there was a pumpkin sitting on my windshield.

I have SO many questions, so I'll lead with the most important: ...this was a TINY pumpkin, right? RIGHT???

It was a small black pumpkin about the size of a cantaloupe which I had picked from the garden and just...kinda...put on the lower part of my windshield...like ya do.

My dad left cucumbers on my mom’s hood when he was gardening and forgot and my mom didn’t notice and drove a good distance. My dad called her and she was so confused and looked, sure enough 1 or 2 were still there.

My mom once drove home with a gallon of milk she put on top of the car while she loaded the other groceries & forgot about it. It made it home safely from the grocery store, while the entire time she was wondering why everyone was beeping at her

Look, we are all TRYING OUR BEST

You buy a tiny black pumpkin at a farmers' market and then a year later the compost pile starts spitting out tiny black pumpkins and I'm not helping my case here, am I.

We had a volunteer pumpkin sprout out of our compost bin one year. We never got any pumpkins, because the dog thought they were balls and took them off the vine to play with them before they got ripe (he does the same with the lemons, but there's infinite lemons on that tree sometimes).

Pumpkins as adhd diagnosis criteria! Friend's kid had a completely rotted pumpkin in his bag when they cleaned the bag out at the end of the year in June. "WTH IS that?!?" "My Halloween pumpkin" Kept forgetting it was in there when he got home. For 8 months. Extremely relatable, screen that kid!
