Spent another day playing furniture musical chairs. Finished unpacking the kitchen, storing excess items in a Kallax shelving unit in a closet. (Now I need another one for my board games. And another for other close storage, for that matter...) The furniture shopping list is coming together.

On the one hand, I recognize that the speed of shipping these days is a great accomplishment, technically and logistically, so Sunday night ordering -> Friday night delivery is impressive. But when you're waiting for earbuds, it's excruciating, and moreso when this is what arrives.

Continuing to unpack the kitchen and one thing is clear: between the kitchen and the second closet, I need more storage--or more accurately, more ways to take advantage of the available space. I think a few cubbyhole setups should do the trick. Once I have the bookcases and the dresser, though.

The Plan for tonight had been to focus on unpacking the kitchen. Seeing as I have now unpacked almost everything _except_ the kitchen, I think it's safe to say The Plan did not survive contact with my going "oh here's a box..."
