First up: Plasma 6.8 - 30th Anniversary Edition is here! kde.org/announcement... Among other things, it comes with a new and improved remote desktop system; more calendars and keyboards for more cultures and languages; and better accessibility and usability features. #Plasma6

We're kicking off our traditional End of Year Fundraiser💸! kde.org/fundraisers/... For the first day of our fundraiser, we are premiering the KDE documentary "A story of Free Software underdogs". And there's more: look out for goodies, challenges, never seen before art, adoptable stuff...

"Thanks" for removing X11 support. 😠 The Wayland session even stutters on the desktop with triple-buffering disabled with an internal Intel graphics on a 2nd Gen i5. X11 in comparison was lightning fast. Interestingly this wasn't the case with Plasma 6.5 under Wayland.

That's not the point. The point is, that Plasma under Wayland became an order of magnitude slower than it was under a previous version, where there was no noticeable performance difference between X11 and Wayland. Now the Wayland session is unusable compared to X11 and X11 support got removed.

Happy birthday KDE! The shading reminds me of the old Konqi design and images with the new Tyson Tan design! A really interesting way to celebrate and acknowledge the old and the new KDE having a form of Union! Here's to many years ahead!

I just installed Fedora with KDE last Saturday. My first real attempt at living with Linux as my primary driver. It's been a bumpy ride, but I blame Microsoft, and KDE has been really nice. I do wish that the clock was more visible when the panel is on the left or right of the screen, though.

Congrats!! Actually been using KDE for almost as long as it's been around - one note on the 68 release - PLEEEEZ try and remember the world doesn't just use Nvidia cards!! Pleeez try and pay as much time and amazing engineering skills and talent to "the other team" - Team Red aka AMD GPU's!! <3 <3
