One Chart That Explains The 2026 B.C. Election

Taking this at face value, it looks like the NDP essentially lost a quarter million voters, not to the Conservatives, but to general cynicism and not voting?

I'd love to see polling on how many NDP '24, Con '26 voters there are, but I'm guessing relatively few? If that's the case, this would seem to indicate that NDP voters got less motivated this time, and it's hard not to think the snap election call played a roll in that

If the 275,000 who voted NDP in 2024 had voted this time the NDP would have increased their majority.

and when you consider that OneBC got 27,000 votes, the number of NDP to Conservative voters is probably even smaller then we think
