NEW: New Mexico AG, @nmdoj.bsky.social, just announces that a judge has issued a judgment in the amount of $25 BILLION against Meta for lying to consumers and users about how Meta collected, protected, shared, and used their personal information.

The judgment (the fine of $25-billion) is after the fact and the damage to the citizenry has been compromised. You cannot put this genie back in the bottle by making the well heeled Zuck who committed the offense write a post-dated check on appeal.
