Hi, we are an alternative to Amazon-owned Audible ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป With us, you select the independent bookshop you want to support (we have 3,000+ partners across the globe), and we share profits from your purchase with them. We're also employee-owned and a registered Social Purpose Corporation.

Theyโ€™ve had every book Iโ€™ve searched for and I didnโ€™t realize that book recommended by a friend was an actually a rather obscure childrenโ€™s book. They have really great sales too and that isnโ€™t once a year. It has some bestseller sale books every week. Highly recommend!

hi! I was looking through your offerings in Spanish a while ago and I became suspicious that a lot of them - like a LOT a lot, appeared to be AI-generated. Do you have any way of screening for AI slop content, and do you continue to host content that customers have reported as AI slop?

Thanks for letting us know! Unfortunately we canโ€™t tell whatโ€™s AI-generated unless the publisher passes that info over. That being said, we are actively working to make anything AI-narrated more transparent with filters, tags, etc. If you find something, feel free to email us hello@libro.fm!

We are a partner store and all money raised when you buy through us goes to charity to fund childrenโ€™s books for childrenโ€™s libraries that donโ€™t have any. Libraries like this. P.S we donโ€™t supply them, we use a proper library supplier so they get fully supported properly.

I really like your idea but the a App needs an upgrade. For example it's bot possible to search for audiobooks in a language (e.g. German) and the set a filter for a genre or to follow an interesting artist. Also please add more German audiobooks. Greetings from Germany

I quit Amazon after the election & I was surprised it wasnโ€™t difficult finding the products elsewhere. Iโ€™m so conscious of the volume of delivery trucks in my town since the pandemic. I learned a painful lesson from a trip & fall bc I purchased new rugs online that didnโ€™t have skid resist strips.

Iโ€™m a proud audiobook nerd & even if my eyes werenโ€™t weakening Iโ€™d prefer audiobooks. I get lost in a book & lose track of time. I get mine through Libby in my _town but thereโ€™s always something great to enjoy & escape the turmoil in our country. I want a story about our democracy with inflatables.

An excellent choice for Audiobooks! A few years ago, I gifted a subscription to my SIL. When we had a problem transferring it, the CEO, Mark, reached out to me personally to make sure it was fixed. 10/10 customer service.

When my Nook reader gave up the ghost I just bought an iPad mini that I use almost exclusively for reading ebooks, using the Nook app (I mainly get my books from Barnes&Noble). As a bonus I can also use it for anything you might use an iPad for.

I have a kindle but wonโ€™t buy any more books from Amazon. I do have books still to be read on my Kindle. I just bought a Nook. It looks like most of their affiliates, except for one, supported democrats. You should confirm though.

My understanding from when I looked into Libro is that if you ever cancel your sub, you lose all access to your books you've "purchased" so really you've just rented them as long as you keep paying. With Audible, I can access books I've purchased forever on the app even if no monthly sub.Am I wrong?

I still have access to mine after I cancelled. Of course, with all digital books/audiobooks you are buying the license to content and those licenses could be revoked. Amazon is now spelling that out on their kindle book purchase links.

Unlike Audible, we are DRM-free, meaning you actually own your audiobooks. If you cancel your account, they are yours to keep and can keep using the app. You can also download the files and listen to them on whatever device you prefer.

I have a Kobo Libre e reader. It works as well as anything Amazon has, but its support software isnโ€™t as good & Kindle Unlimited is miles better than the Kobo equivalent. I canโ€™t figure out how to make my kindle books readable on Kobo. I can use Libby. Havenโ€™t tried audiobooks thx

No need to down load anything except the epubs u want to read. Works right out of the box. Iโ€™m on my second one in 15 years. Both are still working great. The kobo store is great for purchasing books but you can also load any epubs from what ever source you like just as easy as any modern phone.

My library actually does not. Not that I don't use it, but the library doesn't have a lot of funding so can't purchase a lot and I've listened to just about all the books in the genres I listen to.

I love what you do, but you never have the titles I'm after. I search you first every time, but I've still only managed to buy a couple of audibooks from you. Please expand your range and bust up the audible monopoly. If you stock it, I will buy it at twice the price just to avoid Amazon.

Our catalog of audiobooks is 500,000+ and always expanding :) Unfortunately, though, Amazon does offer Audible Exclusives โ€” and no other vendors, including libraries, can offer them. You can learn more about their harm and how we can challenge them here: blog.libro.fm/the-harmful-...

blog.libro.fmThe Harmful Impact of Audible Exclusive AudiobooksAmazon's creeping monopoly on the audiobook industry through Audible pushes independent bookstores and libraries out of audiobook distribution.

Thanks, Libro. We know the harm they're doing and the challenges you face. That's precisely why I search 3 different apps before I curse them to hell! Is there any way to get the likes of Bolinda to have a conversation on this topic? We know what writers want!

Small differences can be made if you want to wean yourself off of Amazon. Jeff Bezos bought Washington Post and interfered in the election, not allowing for an open endorsement of Kamala by WaPo. He was at Trump's inauguration. This isn't the world we want to support.
