Sam Raimi didn't strap a Super 8 camera to a 2x4 so you could tell me that AI is "inevitable."

Evil Dead cost $300,000 which I don’t have so

Peter Jackson made Bad Taste with a 25-year-old camera and like a $20k budget over 4 years. He got a bunch of extra funding towards the end, but most of the movie was already done. These days, any phone from the last few years and a bunch of free software could definitely make something cool.

what was the last movie you watched shot on a phone

What was the last movie you made? If you have no portfolio or wealthy backers, you use what you have. If Lady Gaga and Olivia Rodrigo can shoot music videos on phones then you can use one for your budget short.

cool. I have AI

I am making something

Prompts for AI don’t count. That’s a machine making it, not you. I guess you could claim to have written the prompt. The way to make things is to make things. And the first things will probably suck, but you’ll learn. And the next ones will be better. That’s how creativity works.

no it does count sorry
