Gary, Indiana is without power for the 11th straight day after storms. This is climate injustice.

Climate change is watching videos of disasters on your phone until you're the one filming them. Collapse is when there's a disaster and then no one fixes what broke. Collapse in the US is not a linear process; it's been happening for a while (Katrina, Jackson MS, and others)

These climate change effects are being felt worldwide. Central Indiana has floods as are other states. Tornadoes in Chicago, rain patterns disrupted, droughts, crop disruptions. Huge El Niño will make 2027 intolerable with crop failures, high food prices, migrations from the global south to north.

Our Governor, Lt Gov, Attorney General and the entire supermajority legislature only care about pleasing the orange felon and placating "Evangelical" hillbillies with bible verses, cramming Turning Point down our throats, etc. Governing is waaaay down on the list of priorities.

My thought, especially since there’s also a blackout of the story on MSM, is the government is using Gary as a testing ground of how people will deal with limited resources. People are looting, people are scared. This is mayhem & that is what the leaders want to turn citizens against each other.

This is a signature of the Trump regime. Why should they help people, that are not voting for them, are not wealthy or white? And why are even helping, does anyone have a benefit from that? The people in Puerto Rico have no water. In Gary, they have no power. Tbc

Embarrassed Hoosier here... governor Braun visited wealthy Hamilton county. No show in Gary. In case anyone's wondering where he aligns with his lt. gov Beckwith's Nazi rally earlier this summer.

This is what RACISM does. Or at least one of the things. All the regime cares about is a photo op showing supposed help … handing out a bit of water, to the whiter part of town. I sure hope there is enough reporting that this slaps voters to vote for change. I pray the power is on BEFORE Tuesday.

It's more than just Gary, although it was one of the hardest hit communities and in general one of the least able to deal with it based on the preponderance of poor Black communities. From your link. On the bright side, the total amount of outages in the whole area are about 1/2 from yesterday.

WTF do you mean by “equally unacceptable?” Do you know ANYTHING about power grids or the challenges after 100 mph winds? The storm destroyed or severely damaged 291 utility poles, 44 transmission poles, and caused 27 substation outages. Google exists.

I just heard this story last night! Where’s the president, governor? We have the cruelest people running the country! This should be handled as a national emergency! Can you imagine how dangerous it is there at night? And the heat? Phones not charged! Hope everyone remembers this when they vote!

Trump is mad at them because they wouldn't do the redistricting of congressional maps for voters. He wanted an edge in Indiana, and he didn't get it. So he is punishing them for it. That's what he does. Revenge and money are the only two things that motivate him. He is a despicable human being.😠
