Where is everyone at? I know I don't follow enough people yet, but when I open my timeline here (and on Mastodon for that matter), 99% of the posts in my feed are just news/blogs/etc that I follow vs people.

Try this feed -> bsky.app/profile/spac... Other people I trust swear on this feed. I do not use it, my "Following" feed works for me, though it took quite a while to build it with follows (and some mutes). Otherwise, try the "feeds" tab and search for something that looks palatable.

I hit the quiet posters feed often to catch up with actual people. There is a lot of reposting of news/blogs and it gets cluttered.

My feed over here is so busy I have a hard time keeping up sometimes when I check in. On Mastodon I’m lucky if I get a post on any given day. I follow fewer people there but there are also fewer people I feel interested in following over there.

We are well aware. What we’ve found is intentionally-curated feeds around certain events/topics give users with smaller followings more views and engagement than Discover does right now. Our sense is the magic is happening in more curated spaces and we help w discovery and link out to those spaces
