Beware of a Trumpian-GOP Trap: Trump "---presents an imagined left-wing conspiracy and authorizes punishments for--- speech the administration doesn’t like--- issued National Security Presidential Memorandum 7 (NSPM-7)---" Ignoring FACT: No Evidence ---⬇️

My dad, a WWII Army Medic, told us very little about his time at war. One story I remember is when the vessel they were traveling on reached the beach and they jumped out, with all their gear to render aid, the man next to him was killed. That man never left the boat. My dad had survivor's guilt.

None of them ever really talked about the war. But they all had 'ticks' of a sorts. You had to be careful waking up my dad, he would come directly up, arms swinging, feet already kicking as if his ship went down and he's heading up through the melee to reach air.

My Dad landed on Omaha Beach 20 minutes after it started. He was stunned by the fire power they encountered. His engineering unit had three jobs: to clear land mines, identify sources of potable water and set up parking lots. They thought of everything.

I don’t know if a lot of people know this, but if you have a a grandparent or a parent that did anything to help the war effort effort in the United States or fighting on the front, you can submit their name with a little bit of information about what they did and they’ll be added to it as well.

My father and father in law were part of the inaugural class of antifa. The fought the OG trumpers, I mean Nazis. They thought fascism was dead in 1945. Like a cancer, it returned in the guise of an orange buffoon who speaks like a third grader and appeals to racists and fellow morons.

Trump is the embodiment of all those fortunate sons that skipped the draft to legislate against the common folk. He is just the face, a symptom of something bigger and more sinister. My respect to your father, your in law and those who fought and are still fighting in many ways to stop them.

To this day some of the most endowed colleges in the US still cultivate neo-con ideology and eugenics among the fortunate sons, teach them how the military works for them, that the whole world is theirs.

Yeah, well. That's the point: fascism is a structural point for so many years that what's happening nowadays is just the obvious conclusion. How many democracies have USA overthrown over the years?

There's a bloke called Rupert Murdoch who is vastly culpable for nurturing the re-emergence of fascism throughout the Western World. He's been playing his nasty little games long before the current filth in the White House!

The irony is that Murdoch is such an avaricious, capricious prick that if pushing socialism somehow paradoxically made a larger profit for him, he would push that too! He is utterly immoral. He will sell out anyone and anything! He knows the price of everything and the value of nothing!

The real historical Antifa(of which my grandpa was a part of,and proud) fought heroically against Nazism and fascism. But today's Antifa has undergone a complete turnaround - through violence and attacks on free speech, it has essentially adopted the methods of its former enemies, coming full circle

That also pisses me off, because some of those people then went to vote for Trump My great grandpa was in WWII, I hear my grandparents (Their kids) and 1/2 my parents stating their support for Trump I cannot stand that shit

Today is D-Day, a day that reminds us that more than 400,000 Americans gave their lives in World War II defending our country and the values it represents. It is hard not to see the irony in that the evil forces they fought to overcome are rapidly finding new life in the politics here in America.

Mussolini, Hitler, and Franco all openly wrote about how the USA was a major source of inspiration for them. WWII was not a war against fascism, it was a war between rivel fascist blocs. The real antifa was the socialist partisans, the communist Antifaschistische Aktion, the anarchist CNT-FAI,

About 40 years ago I talked to a farmer who had been there that day. He described the feeling of absolute chaos, gunfire and explosions all around. I asked how you handle that and he flat out said you don't. He said he saw guys shoot themselves in the head. Maybe he was pulling my leg. Maybe.

82 Years ago, to today, the largest group of what Trump calls and hates, ANTIFA's left the coast of England to bring down a Fascist group organisation. Today fascists are back, and occupy the white house and the supreme court.

My dad was Antifa! Served in the Army….WWII vet. He absolutely hated Trump. My father was such a good and kind man who never said an unkind thing about people. Never made a racist comment. Did I mention he hated Trump. Called him mean spirited and cruel.

I am 85 years old, but we have forgotten what was lost and what was gained by this enormous and dangerous effort to fight Nazis. And Facism has arrived in the USA with no friends to help us.

Lol. The allies weren't fighting fascism. They were fighting the germans and japanese, who hapenned to be Nazi. That's why fascism is alive and well in the US. The US would go on a communist witch hunt, but they never bothered with US fascists. Those were, and still are, in congress.

The whole of the US was literaly and apartheid state of white supremacists. And then for 20 more years. The seeds of fascism are everywhere in a militarized, white supremacist culture.

My father didn't go to Normandy for D-Day, he stayed home building the engines for the planes used that day and throughout the war! Those who did the same also share in the Honor that belongs to all of that Anti-fa generation!

It really saddens me that people compare those brave men of 1944 to these screaming thugs of today. They will never be the same. Also disrespectful to compare people who vote differently to you on the Right to the Nazis of Hitler's Reich. Maybe mature a bit more instead of crying about politics.

I just hate the idea that Hegseth is over there now being the US representative for the anniversary proceedings. Normandy does not deserve his presence to dishonor the sacrifice of the US and their allies.
