When I added Bsky unfurls in 2024 HLS wasn't supported in Chromium. Now it is! This was 40 lines of code, not including tests.

Is it just on one domain, or does it do it for any link to a bluesky client? (e.g. page with a <link rel="alternate" href="at://did:plc:epyu7eozulw7j7by6h7tnvp6/app.bsky.feed.post/3mfc3pgdoqk2j"/> tag ) Discord's only does it for bsky.app, so blacksky/witchsky/other links only get generic previews.

guessing it's only for the Bluesky client or whoever's running bskyweb. Witchsky has a custom Cloudflare worker to generate embeds, but that doesn't have everything from the official implementation.

This is sick. Are you folks at Slack running into the same problem as the folks at Discord with rate limits? Recent thread about that here

the expansion in discord isn't great either, they are being rate limited by bsky so half the time it doesn't expand. And quoted posts don't show the image or video. we have been using bskye.app that expands reliably and always shows all images and videos. it is a pity, expansions are very important
