Corporations publicly celebrating LGBT+ equality is a good thing and I am glad to see it coming back.

I respectfully disagree. I don't see it as the slightest bit authentic. More a result of cold calculus than that of moral resolve. I'm sorry.

I don't care if it's authentic because I do not expect giant corporations to have moral resolve.

To ask the philosophical question then, if something is inauthentic, what value can it truly have?

I think it’s undervalued how helpful it is for *shame* when a particular value is so broadly projected by institutions and even market actors . People who are anti-LGBT are much more likely to stay silent when everyone around them professes pro-LGBT values.
