Risky. The western powers, and Israel have not allowed stability in the middle east in decades. USA-ISRAEL clones weapons of other nations to commit #FalseFlags. And, they can hijack or bribe small Iraqi groups to launch these cloned weapons from within Iraq. She may have triggered the beast.

We've been allowing the CIA to start these regional wars all over the world since they were formed shortly after WWII. JFK was quoted as wanting to "splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds." We must stop them from carrying out these evil deeds in our name.

He even described PKK as “worse than ISIS” in 2019. Of course they’re not, but it shows how twisted and manipulative he is.

Why would the Kurds trust us? Times the U.S. abandoned the Kurds: • 1975 — After the Algiers Agreement ended support for Kurdish rebels in Iraq • 1991 — Post-Gulf War uprising crushed by Saddam • 2017 — After Iraqi Kurdish independence referendum • 2019 — U.S. withdrawal from northern Syria

The entire US military has been hijacked by a bunch of morons who are just spit balling ideas like: “How do we stop this war from spreading into a wider conflict that engulfs the entire region.” “What if we got the curds of Iraq to fight Iran for us?” “Yeah let’s drag someone else into this war.”

Abandonment is the only thing that should be counted on from the politicians of Washington DC. They do and say the expedient in the moment, their words are as good as their history proves out. It's even worse under the current regime, run by oligarchs for oligarchs and billionaires. Grift is king!

i hope they take US weapons and equipment and use it entirely for SELF DEFENSE in the northwest of Iran if a civil war breaks out, but I don't see civil war happening as if the Kurds don't themselves rise up no one else has the kinds of weapons to do so, at most it would within the IRGC but doubtful

After Trump fucked the Kurds in Syria & left them to be ethnically cleansed from their homeland by Erdogan, you have to be fucking kidding to think they would help Trump Nobody remember when Kushner got caught by the Turks in the Khashoggi butchery, Erdogan called Trump after defeating Isis ?

More guns, more weapons, more bombs - none of this leads to anything but more horror and grief. Too bad the Trump regime have their "we crazed macho idiots" blinders on.

First of all the republicans bomb Iran killing school girls and hundreds of other civilians and then they expect the Kurds to rise up and take on millions of Iran forces. Yet the republicans are TOO SCARED TO VOTE against anything Trump wants even when destructive against their constituents.

That is an eloquent message. But I wonder how many Kurds may fall for the lure of money and weapons and the dream of their own country being waved in front of their faces by manipulative forces. They are spread over four countries: Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey. Is the (Isr)"plan" to chop it all up?

I'm afraid the US is notorious for that...inciting people to fight with them and crushing its current regime then abandoning all of them when there's no hope of a clear victory. We've seen that also in Libya, Somali, and Afghanistan. It all ends in civil wars once they leave!

I had a nightmare. Could that be how it happened? Trump: „It looks bad for me if American coffins start arriving here. Hegseth, find someone we can send in, just promise them money. We're not paying it out to the widows anyway.“

The Kurds were left to die in Iraq before. We got them to fight, then let Saddam destroyed the Marshlands they lived in, which was their whole lives, and slaughter them. We always use the Kurds and than abandon them. They are freedom fighters WE USED AND GOT KILLED.

Good for her doing this publicly. The republican party doesn't care about Americans who are not billionaires, why would anyone in the world trust them when they seen firsthand how destructive this party is to their country, and they can see how destructive he is in his own country.

The Kurdish story is a ledger of promises made in war and erased in peace. Used as partners when convenient, abandoned when power recalculates. A people who fought ISIS and paid in blood should not be treated as expendable pieces in great-power strategy games.

By this very same President. In other times, could make a weak argument and hand-wave that mistreatment was under a different time / person / etc. But this is Trump. Who shocked the world by backstabbing one of the US' strongest allies in opposing ISIS. Not shocked that the Kurds might remember.

No military should be considered guns for hire, including our own. We will not achieve peace through war. Warring causes more warring. It always will. We will only achieve peace when we're all dead or when we wise up and put the weapons down. fire vs fire creates twice the fire. Water it.

Well...that SHOULD let any sentient being know just how trustworthy and honorable the United States is and has been.... And if you need another reference check out what President Johnson told the South Vietnamese just before Nixon sold them out in Paris....

Trump treats allies like contractors he’s trying to stiff on a bill. The Kurds already know how that ends. Glad the First Lady of Iraq is calling out this "Epic Fury" nonsense for what it is. Someone send a copy of this to the EU and Ukraine.

The Kurds know that any person or group who hitches their wagon to Trump will be abandoned sooner or later. He has no loyalty or moral compass. Once you’re no longer of use or worse, an impediment, you’re on your own. Just ask Noem.

Yeah if I remember right Schwartzkopf wanted to push onto Bagdad but the higher ups got cold feet and ordered coalition forces to halt arguing that they'd got the Iraqis out of Kuwait so mission accomplished, leaving the Kurds who helped out and thought their liberation was at hand holding the bag.

I really hope it wouldn't come down to the US sending troops on the ground in Iran. A lot of USan soldiers will die in a war that shouldn't have happened in the first place! BTW, when's Barron enlisting? Or are bone spurs hereditary?

Send this LETTER to ALL Republican LEADERS now & in all previous years as well as ALL Republican Presidents now & previous years! Republicans are GUILTY of NOT following through on their PROMISES & LYING about their GOALS & INTENTIONS. Apparently Republicans think others are here for their ABUSE!

United States literally betrayed Kurds in Rojava, in NE Syria, again this year. After they played the key role in defeating ISIL / ISIS. And USA betrayed the Kurdish-led SDF and the autonomous AANES to a former al-Qaeda commander's regime. United States is shameless.

And again backfire no. 28 for Trump even the Kurds are ready with Trump . And by the way lot of Iranian military close by the Kurds so that will be a war in a war! This American administration has not to much knowledge of the situation there??!!

Unfortunately, the Kurds, the Iranians, and people in all other ME countries that are affected by this illegal war, join the people in the U.S. as all being pawns of the despot. Human life means nothing to him. He will continue to attempt to conquer the world's countries. Humans are chattel.

Hevrin Khalaf a young Syrian Kurd politician and civil engineer was dragged from her vehicle tortured, beaten, stabbed and then shot to death by the Turkish backed SNA. I have never forgot this reporting. Remember trump gave Turkey his go ahead prior.

I love this post! How many times do countries have to be betrayed by the world powers to get this! Ukraine gave up Nukes with the promise their sovereignty would be respected and protected...

Our governments' treatment of the Kurds has been nothing short of a treacherous disgrace of the highest order. Time and time again they dutifully served our interests despite our prior treachery, only to be thrown under the bus yet again by the pathetic, corrupt worms that govern us.

I'm glad this woman gets it. A partnership with the USA is only good till the next election. The US electorate is a pendulum, swinging between Republican failures and the resentments of the deplorables. 8 years of decency is the about the most you can expect...

This is a ridiculous thing to say in a time of war. This stupid subject should never have been a first thought. I am appalled by this sentence. Whoever wrote the article is correct and truthful. It's the meaning that has relevance. I hate we're in a new war. We had a treaty with Iran Trump tore up.

Aw c'mon! I'm sure Trump's not lying about supporting the Kurds this time! It's not like he just fucking told the Iranian people to rise up and then saw a nice set of gold drapes and totally forgot about it for months...

Rajova Syrian Kurds were betrayed because Trump decided to make a deal with Turkey in his first term. He had his investments and hotels in Istanbul in mind. It’s all transactional with Trump. Back then he described the Kurds with horrible names.

Who can blame them. They were such good allies to us and we repeatedly stabbed them in the back. Good on them to not fall into the same trap again. Too bad we can't have such informative hindsight here in the US. AKA, GOP = wars. GOP = sugar rush economy that collapses. etc. etc.

tRump and Netanyahu need to understand that they are alone in this war. No one to help them. All of their allies vanish and call out their bullshit excuse for starting it in the first place. They need to feel the isolation. tRump's version of America First is America Alone.

Well said Kurds! It would be nice if the US could just leave the world alone. Deliver on your “America First” policy and stay home. Thanks.
