Norway’s football federation is making a formal complaint to FIFA over political interference in the Word Cup. Well done to them. Now for the FA? *drums fingers*

This complaint is preposterous. How can the credibility, integrity and principles of FIFA be questioned in this manner? FIFA, the beacon, lighthouse of honor and probity, properly and again demonstrated when they presented Taco with their newly-fabri--minted FIFA Peace Prize.

Trump's interference is inexcusable. Norway's football Federation is right. Their groveling fat-butt kissing FIFA Leader is a disgrace as is the huge interfering "What does a red card mean?" orange butt-head.

Also: Dear USA, Your corruption is deplorable, Citizens of the US. PS. Our country is NOT hot right now. Our country is NOT respected now, and we are being laughed at. Only your MAGA believes your UNTRUTHS.

Which isn't going to work. First, I honestly doubt Trump had anything to do with it, despite taking the credit. Second, it wasn't even unprecedented. Ronaldo played in the group stage due to the very same committee. Finally, Norway never played the USA so they weren't harmed.

No! You’re spreading misinformation. This is totally unprecedented. There is no overruling a red card IN A TOURNAMENT. It’s never happened. Ronaldo’s was a qualifier which does have precedent.

The other problem I have with the current card system (and I'm a soccer referee) is that it is currently a one-size-fits-all. Keeper challenges a breakaway and misses the ball but gets the player? Red card and one game ban. Guy punches you in the back of the head? Red card and a one game ban.

Ronaldo's was also a 3 game ban for violent conduct. So the very same committee that decided to add 2 games to his ban (knowing it would impact group play) after his red card decided to let him play the first two games of the group stage.

In this case, a guy accidentally steps on someone's ankle, red card and one game ban, which while appropriate was also incredibly harsh. Nobody else was given a red card for this the entire tournament, and far worse only got yellow or just a simple foul.

also taxing the winner because we were the host is just the ultimate final bully move. Sore losers should never host anything again. The Olympics is gonna be a nightmare, they'll make sure of it.

Politicians can't even get politics correct, why do they stuff their grubby little fingers in sport too? I'm predominantly thinking of orange cunts and the shiny no chins

Too busy taking over 8 weeks (a few weeks from the actual season to start) to punish Southampton FC; they aren't Chelsea/Manchester City so they can make an example of them. Club has alreday missed out on possible promotion and fans were denied a trip to Wembley. Corruption - thy name is football.

This has to happen. We cannot, never, have politicians meddling in sport. Overturning ref's decisions. Unheard of. Renders football untenable. FIFA are not fit. They're corrupt. Money begets more money 🤑 enter corruption.

The FA have - unsurprisingly - already backed Infantino for re-election in 2027. I say unsurprisingly because Debbie Hewitt (FA Chair) is one of Infantino's Vice Presidents, so she knows what side her bread is buttered. She's not going to do anything to risk her seat on the gravy train.

His plan for a 64 team World Cup next time will get him all the votes he needs. We might as well give up on qualification tournaments and just have a big knockout tournement at this rate

Wonder how far THAT will get, with Infantino being the President of FIFA & the bloke who was aiding and abetting the political interference?

The British FAs are half of IFAB with FIFA. They're the deciders & arbiters of the rules of the game - to an extent they could be appealed *to* over FIFA's corruption of the rules. If it goes to CAS, it could lead to conflict of interest when testifying on the intent, use of & history of the laws.
