I can barely put text on an image but my understanding of the situation based on reading comments is that they were initially completely broken but are improving fast. But I am a software person and I know how terrible PSD specs are so I expect each next compatibility step to be harder

soon enough the adobe apps themselves will be vibecoded (if they aren't already) so that particular conundrum will resolve itself

the hype for these is identical to the fearmongering from the larger companies, it seems unlikely that adobe will care about someone who takes on such a huge maintenence burden instead of competing via normal development like other free competitors are already doing

tldr nothing about the adobe suite of products ever needed "decompiling", the papers are publically available. they are playing madlibs with headlines

I have been testing them slowly so far and I cannot make my mind about them TBH. I will explore the premiere and AE clones later this week since I need to edit some videos.

I tested their Illustrator clone (because I'm working on a vector drawing app myself) and the performance with a decent amount of layers is terrible.
