Touch area calibration is a real thing. If you are using a machine to vote, try touching higher or lower to mark the spot you want. However, your best method of voting is with a paper ballot. Those can't be hacked.

Machines record what is input. They aren't connected to the internet to be hacked or built so they can change anything. You get a printed record of your choices, which you verify before submitting, and is your guarantee. In IA & AZ you put your ballot in the tabulator yourself.

Still no guarantee whatsoever that the vote receipt you get is the same that is input in the system. Yes, you can add and remove or even trash and burn paper ballots, but you can't hack them or make it so that they change the result the second you insert them in the box.

Depends on your local rules. I know this is going around but it's not true for every polling location. Double-check your area's rules for voting, they should be in your Voter Guide.
