They're not "bending the knee." They're doing it WITH HIM. They're not victims - they're collaborators. Trump is there to draw attention to himself while the ENTIRE GOP participates in this, because the GOP wants this, all of this, to happen. They're helping him, enabling him, facilitating him.

Unfortunately, this is the appearance. We've folks like Schumer, Booker, and Jeffries embracing the things about which many Dem voters, myself included, are raging against. Meanwhile, as much as I love Sen. Murray, she still keeps portraying her GOP colleagues as victims instead of collaborators.
