a fun side note, stormwater data professional George ran our rainfall simulation numbers for me. a few days after posting, he got an unexpected call from his college roommate, who he hadn’t spoken to in years: “hey i saw your name in this Tom Holland post …” thanks, Bluesky.

My wife loves Tom Holland and Lip Synch Battle. She is also very much Not Online. My effort to explain (1) why the NEORSD was waxing poetic about this cultural milestone and (2) why I am aware of the NEORSD in the first place felt like Tom Holland doing backflips.
