But do developers publish production games with Godot? 3 years back there were no serious games made with Godot. Its popular because its open source (free), not because it's the better game engine.

If you're not keeping up with the indie scene then the titles you're most likely to recognize are Slay the Spire 2, Cruelty Squad, Case of the Golden Idol, and maybe Casette Beasts, Halls of Torment or Dome Keeper.
