It's not a competition, obviously - but it's absolutely bananas that GMTK Game Jam 2026 actually received more submissions than this year's Global Game Jam. That makes GMTK the biggest game jam in existence. (Maybe GGJ allowing AI-generated submissions put some devs off... who knows?)

YouTube is starting to flood with AI videos, because it's so easy to generate a script and a voice. It's gotten to the point where I'm instantly suspicious of any video that's just a voice speaking over footage. Which... is a bit scary for someone who makes videos with just my voice over footage!

This was my last video for a while as I am just about to go on paternity leave! I will be becoming a dad for the first time and I'm super excited. I'm extremely fortunate to be able to take a few months off work to be with my wife and new son. Thanks for all the support in 2025 - see you next year!
