Maybe. But their ranks have been "diluted" from those days--they come from a mix of backgrounds, viewpoints, etc.. It could be as you say, but it could end up being like the Azov Brigade in Ukraine where they transcend their dodgy origins. The first test will be how they interact with the SDF.
