I work for a non profit that provides housing to those that have experienced homelessness. But not everyone in the program uses HUD vouchers. This is going to affect so many people who are elderly, disabled, veterans, single parents, and more The effects will be devastating for everyone.

This will have major consequences to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. We are working hard to support our housing and shelter partners who will be stepping in to help.

A lot of this buildings are senior apartments

Why doesn’t he just get a firing squad and kill seniors, homeless people, veterans , the sick, disabled, hungry, children and people of color because that’s his goal !

Will this affect HUD Block Grants? They provide funds for homeless and domestic violence shelters to keep their utilities kept on.

I’ve worked with LMHA, and this process is already time consuming for the staff. This will gridlock, voucher applications, inspections, recertifications, and every process designed to meet compliance.

I give it another month before his base retaliate, especially when Congress slashes these social programs. Republicans aren't the brightest crayons and they thought a vote for trump would affect others, not them. WELL, it's going to affect them much more than urban communities.

I was able to learn a trade (attended carpentry classes during the day, worked at night at tiny house villages), so I felt it my obligation to give back to the community that lifted me up. I am so proud of the work I do. I can't imagine being forced out of my meaningful work. But I'm bracing.

Listen people I'm losing a lot too because of Trump. My ordeal isn't related to any of this. But it's devastating. But this is what must happen for them to wake up. I know of so many in welfare and HUD who voted for this. And they don't wanna educate themselves so we need to face hard times.

When the poor end up sleeping on the streets, where camping is illegal, they'll be sent to jail, and work for pennies on the dollar as slave labor for the state. Prison labor is legal under the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits slavery, except as punishment for a crime.

Federal employees need to band together and go on STRIKE. Call in sick for a week or two. You have power and the masses will support you. And those that don’t need to personally feel the impact of no gov: no mail, no SSA checks, no passports, no flights, security reduced, medical trials stopped…

MAGA will have a better understanding of the homelessness problem when tents begin appearing in their suburbs. Cutting these programs certainly won't make things better.
