I live in forest, at elevation right next to NF, so I get it. But I don't get this. Why are the pile burns not taking place? If probationary are only brought on the line when there's a wildfire, where are the contracted employees? I saw that Arches closed a popular trail. Arches lost 3 employees.

Turns out, the word is actually Rake. “Rake the forests..” . My bad. I apologize for not remembering (verbatim) all the asinine ideas that come out of that Big Mac/Filet O Fish hole.

I knew this before it happened. Me and my 87 yr Dad both said these cuts would lead to forest fires and rabid or overpopulated animals causing significant issues. Watch for issues with wild animal issues, too. Wild boars, skunks, bears, raccoons, etc ... especially if rabid.

New Mexico is a beautiful state with majestic mountains and forests. But, we have been in drought for a long time now and the risk for wild fires is very high. Fuck Trump and his total ignorance of the natural world. He will prevent a Federal response to a wild fire.

I know this doesn't relate to the article, but I gather once New Mexico is on the news because of some sort of preventable disaster has occurred, trumps first action will be an executive order changing the name of the state to New America. That will fix their problem for sure.
