Wait until progressives get back the government & eliminate all the healthcare insurance moguls, & we finally get universal healthcare! Big pharma is going to be slammed into providing drugs for affordable prices, & taxpayer funded subsidies are going away too! & owning elected officials ends too!!

Anyone who has worked in the health insurance industry knows this corporation has a reputation for being ruthless. Everyone understands it's all about the MLR and that's where the incentive compensation came from. They pay very well.

I think we're at the point where we are better off putting our outrageous insurance payments into an escrow account that we can't access unless we need treatment. Not as if we ever get back what we pay in anyway.

Yes. Sad that we are at this point. Now if we could only pool our money without health insurance companies... Might be able to do something like that at a community level. I know churches have done this, but have turned out to be a scam.

Disclaimer: not an expert in this field CEOs are paid (way too much) to be the face of a company, but often they have no input into what the minions are doing, denying claims. They don't even make intricate company policy. It is often a board group decision. -E

CEOs exist to do what Brian Thompson did. Take the blame for the worst excesses, open the golden parachute while the shareholders and board keep making bank, meanwhile our families die of cheaply preventable illness. CEOs can only do ONE thing that benefits the people. Brian Thompson did that, too.

$1.5 Trillion per year is wasted on propping up private medical insurance each year. We need universal healthcare via single payer. Every other advanced economy has single payer and pays at least $4000/person per year less for better outcomes. Just buy private health insurers; they're stock is $1T.

When posting about health care high cost & denied claims, why not also show the total admin costs & compensation packages for these poor out of work CEOs? Would it be the same if it was a single payer system administered by non-profits?

Hmh, it's easy to waffle over what's murder in this context. I'd also like to see patient years waiting in necessary care and other metrics. As granular as by condition, if possible. They do huge harm to their victims, and it's hard to capture the scope of that evil in a single metric.

Can we just get rid of for-profit healthcare already? These ghouls profiting from misery needs to stop! Doctors, nurses, and hospitals? Yes! Insurance companies making healthcare care decisions? NO! If a hospital goes bankrupt it can take 10+ years to replace it! #UniversalHealthcare #MedicareForAll

Time to nationalize healthcare in the US and kick these leeches completely out of the picture. I remember a time when a doctor said something, that was the law and there were no challenges to it. We need to get that relationship back on track.

44,789 Americans of working age die each year because they lack or are denied health insurance 18% of insured adults have reported claims being denied Medical insurance companies are committing mass murder AND costing us more than a free universal healthcare program would cost Follow the money

Yes, thankfully wait times don't exist in the US. My six month delay for my (according to insurance) completely non-emergency spinal surgery so I could walk again was ridiculously convenient to my life. Thankfully it happened both times for my next two spinal surgeries too! I'm a valued customer

If the American system is so good, why does no other country copy it? I’m sure Canada could make its system better but there is no fixing the American system that doesn’t cover vast amounts of our population and causes many to bankrupt.

See when you wait here it’s actually because we value the freedom of doctors, so it’s a different kind of wait list. Up there in Canada they’ve literally enslaved doctors so they’re extra bad at their jobs, leading to wait times. Our wait times is so doctors can have vacation, commie

Profit and public health were never meant to be compatible with each other. This is the result. A single payer system could control costs and eliminate the need for thousands of overpaid health “executives” whose sacred mission is to deny patient requests for health care to preserve profits.

For pay medical programs must cut costs to make a profit. The problem is the for profit plan. Medical plans need to be non profit and ethically governed. Nothing else makes sense.

Yep, the US Health Care system is the actual pyramid scheme, not Social Security. We pay monthly health care premium, plus co-pays. Then, service is denied, even when our doctor prescribed the service. Even the doctors are overuled, and our health declines unless we can afford to pay out of pocket.

They WERE being investigated for selling fraudulent useless policies they never paid on. "WERE"...TRUMP SQUASHED IT. $100M in offshore accounts & a side piece, BRIAN THOMPSON was heading that program. Luigi is the fall guy.

Well I have a suggestion for the company. Stop paying your CEOs $21 million per year . I have a strange feeling this might just fix your financial problems.

Their dual coverage plan is a farce costing me more out of pocket, more doctors not accepting them as coverage and adding another level of out of pocket costs to be met before full coverage kicks in. They facilitate Medicare but deny meds Medicare covers.

F*** them and every insurance company out there right now.We need to drive them all the f*** out of business. We need to make sure they are f****** destroyed. The first chance we had f****** a everybody. Not just the fucking ceos the fucking board members everybody... destroy, divide, divest!

Corporate America been run by publicly traded companies so all that matters is their shareholders for too long. And once Citizens United and that effing SC ruled dark money can flow into politics American consumers have had zero protection. Healthcare companies don’t get rich on preventative care.

Forbes: UnitedHealth Group reported $14.4 billion in 2024 profits including $5.5 billion in the fourth quarter as its portfolio of health insurance and provider services overcame rising medical expenses and an historic cyberattack on its businesses. Uh, maybe if they weren’t such greedy pigs?

Health insurance is racketeering in its current form. If an insurance provider can simply not cover treatment prescribed by a physician (without successfully proving the prescription is fraudulent or mistaken), then they aren’t providing insurance. They’re racketeering.

Single F’ing payer!!! The Wealthcare Industry (they are middle men-denying healthcare NOT providing it) is an abject failure and people are suffering because of greed and sociopathic billionaires who could give a shite about suffering of Americans.

Well hey, just look at that ugly, evil face. Do you think that assclown gives a s#!t about ANY of the policy holders healthcare options or their quality of care..?
