Regardless of what it stemmed from, no reason a Vet should feel the only way they can live is to leave the country they gave everything for... the man got a Purple Heart and served with honor. Cheeto dodged and has 34 felonies; he should be the one to leave.

Veteran war heroes, Afghan translators, fathers and spouses of serving Marines are being kidnapped and/or deported. High ranking Black and female officers are demoted. Thousands of serving trans soldiers, sailors, and pilots have been fired. Is this what the military want? Where the fuck are they?

Please stop using the term “self deports.” The concept does not exist. Deportation is a legal process which a government uses to remove foreign nationals. Unless Mr. Park creates his own government and country, he cannot “self deport.” He can voluntarily leave.

"Individuals who wish to self-deport may do so voluntarily before they are apprehended..." Though "self-deport" was less often in official statements from ICE than "self-remove" or "voluntary departure," these were the administrative terms for the same idea.

Your point was understood, but meaning is also derived from context given the flexibility of language. When the antagonists in this issue are abusing language & meaning I want to make sure the circumstances they create and rhetoric they use are understood. This headline used their rhetoric to do so.
