Middle school kids shouldn't have to be 'courageous'. They should never bd in a situation where they have to be courageous. Or, rather, their courage should be defined by standing up to the bully, sticking up for a friend. NOT by having to throw their body in the line of live gunfire.

I hear from Republicans it's a "mental health problem", not a gun problem. No, it's actually a gun problem, but even if mental health was the root issue, what the flying f*ck have they done to help the mentally ill? Take away their health care?

One child dies in a bouncy seat and all bouncy seats are banned. One school has a mass shooting and all we get are thoughts and prayers. Obviously, prolifers really are just probirthers. And then screw you, kids. Whatta sad country we live in.

1/2 I hate that our children do drills and know how to help themselves and others in a shooting. WTF IS WRONG WITH A SOCIETY THAT PUTS GUNS AHEAD OF CHILDREN!!! Stop whining about your 2nd A rights that aren't even in jeopardy, if you'd bother to actually read and understand the 2nd Amendment.

What a horrible reality that our children living in this 'free world' must learn such intense survival skills. It's heartbreaking for them to know such sorrow at that young age. It strips away unfettered, youthful dreaming...
