No kings. No tyrants. Not now. Not ever. 🕯️No more war. Color Block Jam is the best game, I really appreciate the occasional distraction.

i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

The company erected a giant mirror on a mountain to demo their idea of satellite-mounted mirrors reflecting sunlight to earth. I believe the spirits of my ancestors are warning against this. They appeared to me in a dream last night.

An area of California desert was recently lit up at night, baffling locals. Turns out it was the latest step in a US startup's bid to put 50,000 satellites in space to reflect sunlight back to Earth at nighttime via giant mirrors. This quest has many critics. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

I spoke to the mom of the 3-year-old soccer star who was left "thinking he did something wrong" after a league official called police "due to a disturbance between parents" The youth sports league said they launched a review and reached out to the family

huffpost.comViral 3-Year-Old Soccer Star ‘Traumatized’ After Police Were Called In The Middle Of The Game“They called the police on a 3-year-old because he’s too good,” Nevada’s father, Don, can be heard saying in the video.

“In a world with Donald Trump, be Ted Lasso.” 💕 Great line. I hope he is correct that many Republicans are quietly voting for Democratic candidates this cycle, but I wouldn’t sleep on it.

I live in a rural town and, like, I don't know how to tell you this, but the girls play on the boys team and vice versa all the time because otherwise we don't have enough players for a game and it's literally always fine so stop being weirdos about kids sports and just let trans kids play.

I just want to name that people overcame this. Even against a stacked deck, the good fight is worth it. Win or lose, it's worth it. And sometimes the good guys win.

Bolsonaro-friendly mayors appear to be sabotaging public transport on Election Day. Buses aren’t running in Lula-friendly areas, flights and ferries mysteriously canceled. Traffic lights have gone out and people’s power cut in Salvador, indigenous people’s travel restricted

Early voting today felt so grim. I can’t believe the amount of people still voting for Republicans - for this gruesome spectacle of ongoing cruelty and lawlessness.

"Trans people are a tiny group with no power" This isn't true, and I hope my trans readers can internalize this. You are more powerful than you think. Trans and gender expansive people are 2.34% of the US population in the latest survey. That is more than enough to swing a race.

Anti-trans Democrats are spreading poison when we can least afford it, during elections in this ongoing fascist takeover. As a strategy, it’s a recipe for failure. As a moral stand, it’s reprehensible. PS I’m the father of young trans woman and I’ll never forgive anyone who makes her life harder.

The second the Democratic party starts accepting sports bans, I promise you, it will go on to do worse. And in fact we are already seeing it, some of the candidates also are opposing "trans surgery for youth." That easily becomes blockers and hormones, bathrooms and schools.

genxjennifer.bsky.social reposted

There are people, even some trans people, who think that we can give up sports to appease bigots. That if we give up on sports, this all goes away. That is a lie. I have reported on this for years, and EVERY state that passed a sports ban as a moderate compromise has gone on to pass worse.

The drop in smoking. When I was a child, EVERY adult smoked, and everywhere stank of cigarette smoke. Peoples clothes stank of it, their fingers stained with nicotine. Health related problems meant people died young. I never understood why it was supposed to be glamourous🤷‍♀️

Actually, positive change is slow, difficult and incremental by nature. Destroying is fast, building is slow. It is easy to bring misery to people - any idiot can do it, as Trump shows - but very hard to improve their conditions. Building a better society is slow, careful, patient work.

It turns out that choosing the lesser of two evils is, in fact, a moral imperative. And some folks want to wait for the Revolutionary Perfect, but I would equally challenge them to demonstrate a single time where a 'start from nothing, year-0' revolution has turned out well for most people.

I study relationships and brain development across the lifespan. In the movie they notice Invicta cries and fusses when Liz holds her. That's a sign of a preoccupied attachment-in-the-making. Liz should be able to soothe her, but just breastfeeds her to pacify her. She hardly truly pays attention.

The fact that Amy Acton was removed from her mother’s care and went on to obtain an MD and flourish in public health makes her even more of a hero in my eyes. This type of trauma never really goes away. Yet when there was a fork in the road, she chose the one where she helps others. Hero.
