Who's got frontend frameworks? Trying to collect some stats on update efficiency (rather than rendering new dom en-masse (which js-framework-benchmark heavily favors <3))

Only if I were to say its ok to not be able to have effects 🤔 Right now, if I un-split the incrementing render effect test from the other "measured in milliseconds" table, Marko would be last My agent also tried to modify the conformance / anti-cheat testing that I run on each framework.

marko definitely can have effects 😅. What you are seeing is marko's render batching which works in unison with the browsers native scheduler. tldr if you update state from an effect that update is batched until the browser has finished painting anything already comited.

I’m chatting with Luke on the Marko team and it sounds like this is an intentional choice. They view effect chains as an anti-pattern that leads to poor page performance. Marko’s approach has a to spread the chains across paints so the page remains responsive even with an infinite effect loop.
