Fun facts: Ventura toyed with the idea of running on the Reform Party ticket. He didn't. But Trump tried. Ventura found Trump's wall idea offensive. Also, Ventura tried to get a union in the WWF.

So, you got me, and I did not regret a second. Well done sir. That's the kind of person we need in Congress. Needed everywhere instead of mealy-mouth "concerned" cowards.

I was never a fan of Jesse, but we need more former Governors, Senators, MoCs and (dare I say) former PRESIDENTS shouting loudly from the rooftops that this unconstitutional tyranny must end!

Thanks for posting! I needed that! So much wrapped into that little bit of time! I loved all of his wisdom, truth, experience, energy and articulation! ⭐💡🏆👍👏🫶 ♥️🤍💙🇺🇲 And he's right....they are the enemy within....and pissing ln the Constitution is one of the core issues

Great for him to speak up. Democracy depends on the rule of law and not the rule of a tyrant. American values are enshrined in the Constitution: innocent until proven guilty, due process, checks and balances, no police brutality. But the point is made - we are ruled by a dictatorship now.

No, this is not a fair assessment. (Sidebar: Ventura sounds like an egomaniac; MN can do better.) Check out @ariellaelm.com . Many Dems are fighting for us. Most important is that the American people are fighting for our democracy. And the Democratic Party is fighting alongside us.

He was our governor. When he ran it was refreshing. The other two candidates, the two parties, they fought like kids. They shrugged off Jesse as a joke. When he was asked a question in debates & he didn’t know the answer, he would say Idk. He said he would look into it. Ppl liked the honesty

I still remember that morning after the election. I laughed my ass off, surprised and excited. It was so cool that he won, just for the shock value. And I didn't think he did too bad as governor, all things considered.

omg, i missed that voice. i could listen to jesse ventura all day. especially when he says con-sti-TOO-shun. i'm having a really hard time imagining him swimming, though.

A lot of people thought it would be funny to vote for him, har har har. Very like all the Brits who voted FOR Brexit as a protest vote, and who were horrified to discover that Brexit carried. There was quite a struggle to try to get a re-vote, but Theresa May flatly refused -- I don't know why.

Trump lies, his approach to policy, or his hold on the Republican Party. He thrives on spectacle and loyalty over truth, and the party continues to bend instead of push back. What’s most troubling is how this chaos and misinformation have become normalized as everyday politics an we’re not a year in
