One of the most competitive House races in US is Wisconsin’s 3rd. Democrat, Rebecca Cooke, is ready to kick out incumbent and 1/6 insurrectionist, Derrick Van Orden. She joins me for the latest in her race, including Van Orden’s repeated use of AI-generated deepfake ads.

The early voting blog is updated.
More mail may be coming, but Dems have added 2,000 ballots to their lead from Sunday -- it's now 22,500, or 5.1 percent.
GOP skittishness must be growing. Almost Groundhog Day-like sameness to the daily numbers.

This report is genuinely overwhelming, in terms of the evidence both against Trump and of a ham-fisted cover-up.
Including one instance in which Ghislaine Maxwell was actually about to mention one of Trump's young accusers and Todd Blanche told her to stop talking.
The media response is "yawn."
Thinking for absolutely no reason about how every Dem candidate for statewide office in VA last year ran within 9 points of Spanberger.
(Also thinking about how Rick Jackson changed his mind late last week about campaigning with Trump.)
GOP shared private polling with Axios that has Ossoff up by 11pts and Bottoms up by 1pt. Another GOPer from a different org said they have similar numbers
Yea Jackson pivoting means he has to tie himself to Trump for GOP turnout but then he’s pissing off the indies or moderate dems he spent all year messaging to
One of the better pieces I read about Brazil before the first round elections described how online betting permeated through Brazil. After Brazil's World Cup squad selected Neymar, he urged fans to visit a betting platform that sponsors him.

The DNC has invested in the South ever since I became chair—because when you organize everywhere, you can win anywhere.
Now, we’re seeing record turnout in states like Louisiana and South Carolina.

Under Martin, the DNC has BEEN investing in the South, and that effort was LED by Ken.
As Ken says: people love to shit on the DNC but I’m not going to take it anymore. ❤️
VICTORY: A federal court just put the chainsaws down at East Potomac Park
The plan was to turn a public park into a private tournament course for Trump & wealthy golfers. The trees stay while we fight it out in court

BREAKING: Preliminary injunction granted in the golf course case by Judge Reyes!
The threat to close & destroy this historic property is the latest act of Trump corruption that the courts have responded to

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today.
Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.
About this H5N1 mink farm in Utah. It is REALLY dangerous to let bird flu spread unchecked through mammals, esp minks. They have similar susceptibility & respiratory physiology as us. Flu can adapt to human hosts by adapting to mink respiratory tracts.
rasmussenretorts.substack.com/p/the-party-...
We don't know if H5N1 will ever make that evolutionary leap or not. We know that it could. But I hope we don't find out. A worst case bird flu pandemic could literally kill hundreds of millions of people & cause agricultural, ecological, & economic collapse.
The Secretary of Agriculture is too busy bribing voters with Russian diesel & cash for MAGA votes to protect American farmers from a potential pandemic, economic disaster, food insecurity/famine, & critical threat to national security.

But for those doing the horse race “gap closing!” nonsense, please remember you‘re a big reason why “voter fraud!” claims stick, and know that state GOP have changed counting rules for mail-in votes to explicitly capitalize on your terrible coverage. They’ve used you. And you keep doing it.
Not that long ago, three major lower-court rulings against the executive branch on three unrelated topics would’ve been a busy *month,* and outlets would’ve rushed to write up such a run of adverse rulings.
Now, it doesn’t feel unusual when we get three on the same *day.*
It’s all … exhausting.
Note: In 2016 Trump won with the help of coordinated messaging amplified by bots. He still relies on that coordinated messaging, tho the Epstein schism undermined that some.
But this SEEMS to say you don't stay off Xitter and Facebook--you coordinate to game it.
Pro-Lula Brazilians doing en masse digital organizing against the platforms is interesting. Basically took website/influencer growth hacking techniques—eg everyone go like/comment/share this, get the algorithm to pick it up—and applied them to electoral politics at a grand scale.

Hungarian PM Péter Magyar:

GA voters on pace for a very, very big IPEV day compared to 2022. Turnup is already up 7% over 2022 entering today.
Total votes on this day in 2022: 149,725
Total votes so far today (with one more update coming): 161,850 👀
Circling back to this and with everything done except one more hour of IPEV in Clark County, it's only gotten worse for the GOP as the day has gone on:
- GOP only wins Washoe IPEV by.....17 votes
- Dems are +534 in Clark County today
- There are a TON of mail ballots that have come in as well
Update on where we stand in IPEV in NV today:
As Ralston has expressed, the GOP desperately needs a huge day and....they aren't getting it.
Dems just passed the GOP in IPEV in Clark, with still like 4 more hours of IPEV today. When you figure in mail already processed today, it's a wash so far.
Moral of the story, GOP is going to net less than 1,000 votes (exclusively from the rural counties) but the mail ballots received today will absolutely wash that away.
Tik tock, motherfuckers....

🚨BREAKING: Federal prosecutors ordered Washington state in letters Monday to set aside ballots from over 400 people they alleged, without evidence, were noncitizens illegally registered to vote. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
Per a new report from House Democrats, Trump's DOJ is withholding evidence of his ties to Epstein and slow-walking the complete release of the Epstein files.
It's time to end the cover-up and expose the truth.

During the brazilian elections we learned one obvious but important tactic to defeat the far right on the Internet and I think everyone should know it:
IGNORE THEM! DON'T ENGAGE WITH THEIR CONTENT! DON'T MAKE CONTENT REACTING TO THEM! DON'T HATE QRT! LET THEM ALONE IN THEIR BUBBLE!
Elections, trends, and underfunded state parties can lead to party instability and loss of political power projection for well over a decade.
Look no further than Wisconsin and Missouri which could well have political strength on the state level they havent had since the pre-Obama era
Another brand new edition of the State Legislative Election Watch is out now covering November's elections in Colorado, Missouri, & Wisconsin!
Can the Democrats break/form supermajorities and flip the Wisconsin legislature at the same time? Find out below!

Not caring about local races can lead to absolute disaster. North Carolina wouldn’t be what it is if we hadn’t lost the state Supreme Court. Losing that meant losses of at least 3 House Seats, the difference of the majority in 2024.
Nothing is permanent. Everything everywhere is always moving, but you have to realize life is a fight for a knife in the mud. We don’t get elections off.
Today on MSNOW on Sirius I heard an ad for betting on midterm election races with Draft Kings. The ad directs listeners to go to draft kings dot com slash MSNOW.

Walking the line outside the Trump rally in Corinth, I was reminded that more unites us than divides us here in Mississippi. I heard from folks who want to get foreign money out of our elections, put an end to flock cameras, keep our border secure, and make sure our veterans are taken care of.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to talk with me and share what matters most to them. When I’m elected to the U.S. Senate, I’ll represent every Mississippian — whether you voted for me or not. That’s what the job is all about. #MississippiMatters
Since I’ve engaged in a few exchanges about this. Let me say a few things about this. First of all this genuinely happens a lot. And it goes back decades. Another commenter reminded of a case back in 2004. I think there’s a key dynamic involved.
I dont know if it's because they love republicans and want them to win but holy crap is this an embarrassment. the equivalent of reckless disregard in terms of journalism fuck ups. Just the simplest damn googling.
