Today I learned that, in 1975, Milton Bradley made a version of their hit board game Operation that was, instead, haunted treasure hunt themed.

Don’t get me wrong: I love it. They could have had a vampire or a skeleton or something but they said No: this game cries out for an evil sea captain. Not enough of them in horror, frankly!

I've never seen this, which is weird because I would've been 9 when it came out & right in the target audience ( kids who like spooky shit ). But now it seems obvious that they would've taken the tech behind Operation & applied it to other concepts. Assuming there weren't more because this flopped?

I appreciate that the board is literally the exact same, with the same shapes and positions of all the openings, they just repainted it.
