There are less than 10 copies left! Who will get the last one... and what will be left of them?
There's only one week left till Halloween, which means that you're almost out of time to pick up the last few remaining copies of the Starlight Theater Halloween Double-feature, written by me and illustrated by @patricbates.bsky.social! When they're gone, they're gone!

I wrote about the history and mysteries of "babysitter in peril" novels for @unwinnable.com's Halloween issue.
It's the scariest month of the year and Unwinnable's murder of writers are here with blood-curdling cultural commentary to turn your hair white while filling your brain with new ideas. Backrooms! Werewolves! Babysitters in peril! Don't miss it! Buy: buff.ly/krs7Gl9 Subscribe: buff.ly/QW6Mdeu

New arrival: The beautiful Severin release of Autopsy of Jane Doe, which I admittedly wanted as much for @slimyswampghost.bsky.social's brilliant slipcase as for the film itself.
Want to read more of my thoughts on one of the greatest horror films ever made?

I did some of the writing for this!
It's dense and weird and uncommercial. It's all the things I love. Maybe one day I'll make money from it. Maybe it'll just serve as a learning tool. Either way, there's a lot of work left to do, but I need player feedback to make sure I'm on track. You can sign up and play for free: veiledcity.com

Today I learned that, in 1975, Milton Bradley made a version of their hit board game Operation that was, instead, haunted treasure hunt themed.
Boss: "What are zombies associated with?" Employee 1: "Well, we already used the graveyard for the ghost..." Employee 2: "... gingerbread?" Boss: "Brilliant! Print it!"
