I have a lot of books, but no one comes to my house. So to share my books with the world, I fired up a flatbed scanner and got to work. I’ll post the results sporadically in this thread. This one kind of speaks for itself

Rolling Stone fired me from my job as Contentious Listicles Editor when the initial top 10 on here was just the track listing for “Lowest of the Low” by Terror. Hey, your problem isn’t with me, it’s with empirical data

In "Peanuts," Linus first mentioned the Great Pumpkin on October 26, 1959, creating what would go on to become an indelible cultural icon. Here’s that strip, followed by the rest of that week’s dailies:

I think this becomes quite understandable in the context of an international fascist movement that has swept much of the planet in a decade, with horrifying and very extreme consequences for the entire species

She got a private sit down with the first Labour prime minister since 2010. She funds groups who have changed literal laws. She’s got a 2 part documentary coming. She has so much money she set up a foundation to defend people from lawsuits. What is not elite about that you fucking morons.

Not to get too theological, but if I find myself in the afterlife with most of those guys, we’ll all be much too busy being on fire to talk politics

What sacrifices did I make for my country? Well, I managed to resist the temptation to lead armies into successive disastrous defeats at the hands of the British in Florida and Georgia, unlike some people I could name, Charles Cotesworth Pinckney.

Malfoid is quietly becoming a symbol of the West's cultural counter-revolution.

It seems like an upper middle class version of all those Manson interviews. “Ah! Isn’t this person so very strange and fascinating?” Not especially, now that you bring it up. “Aren’t you intrigued to learn what personal history lay behind their misdeeds?” Again, not really, but thank you.

Recently had a plumber come to the house to fix something. This guy was really chatty, and as he worked he was telling me a lot of stories about his job and the weirdest houses he's visited. At one point, deadly serious, he said more people get stuck in washing machines than you'd expect.

No Denny, we’re running on a platform of Giant Skeleton for all. A Giant Skeleton in every yard. This is how we win the War on Christmas decoration creep.

Denny Carter@dennycarter.bsky.social
