This was actually campaign trail verbiage, so apparently someone explained it to him last year. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

I'm 99% sure that somebody recently explained the term "basket of goods" to him, and this is his best attempt at recalling that.

Well, @jamellebouie.net, I dropped out when he gave an answer to a question the woman didn’t ask, but I guess his solution to lowering at least produce prices is to flood the market with word salad like this crap. He never disappoints.

It's extraordinary. America-the country that went to the Moon, the country with all of those famous companies, all those Nobel winners, with NASA and MIT, elected this thing to lead their country. It's ridiculous.

Everything he says is like my public speaking nightmare scenario, wherein I completely forget everything I know about a given topic, and then subsequently space on every last bit of vocabulary and wordcraft I could conceivably utilize to credibly bullshit my way out of it.

How anyone can hear him speak or read a literal transcript of his meandering fuzzy half-thought nonsense (god please make it stop!) and think he should be allowed to manage his own affairs (much less be POTUS!) is truly beyond me. Not being snarky, his brain just doesn't work properly.
