MAGA Republican supporters believe that feeding a hungry child or providing health care to those less fortunate will steal their hard-earned money and destroy their lives. But they would lose everything to support killing and hurting those they hate. This is ignorance. And MAGA depends on it.

This is about as useful as the red vs blue maps showing the area of the States Trump won.

And yet, Republicans will undoubtedly go back to "we simply can't afford to give people food stamps, or health care, and we must privatize Social Security and Medicare to save those programs" as soon as Trump declares the Iran war over.

Most of the highlighted counties here are MAGA shitholes, though. I'd target that aid to the poorest blue counties, and to the poor in wealthy blue counties. They're the ones who deserve help. But I do understand your larger point about Iran.

Good Point/Suggestion: instead of using the $11B for incomes, compensate families US citizens killed by the Iran/its proxies. here's a few: '83 Beirut bombings killing 258 Americans, the '96 Khobar Towers attack claiming 19 lives, and Iranian-backed IEDs in Iraq (2003–2011) causing over 600 deaths

Why? That is MAGA. They voted for him, he does not need them anymore. They can just march to throw themselves under the next bus. He could not care less.

UBI would probably have the biggest impacts in poor rural areas. Local businesses would do so much better and would need to hire more workers. More people would become entrepreneurs, and students would do better in school. UBI should be seen as a missing foundation that makes everything work better.

Or, in other terms, a million dollars a day for more than 30 years.
