Happy Father’s Day to all the dads up in the middle of the night tending newborns or downplaying nightmares or providing cups of water or massaging growing pains or fretting over fevers or simply looking at their kiddos sleeping and thinking how lucky they are to be parents.

When you have kids its like another set of instincts, emotions, beliefs and behaviours take over. You do things like staying up with them overnight, cleaning them up when they've pooped themselves, making sacrifices without any complaints or thoughts for yourself. They're always the priority.

Happy Father’s Day! My husband is the best - definitely the calm yin to my yang of fret and worry w/ our 3 who are in their 20s. And I only *occasionally* pull out the “I carried them & gave birth, so you can do (insert annoying parenting task here) 🤪😂

We have had a tradition at our house since the kids were little. We always took Dad out to breakfast and then dropped him off at a nice hotel until checkout the next day. We gave him the day off since he was on duty as a dad every other day of the year.
