New in PN: Are voters finally realizing that GOP presidents are disasters? "The last 3 R presidents have handed their D successors an economic catastrophe, & the last 3 Ds have had to do their best to clean it up. Why don’t Ds ever say that? I think it would make a difference" — @mjtoma.bsky.social

The most convincing explanation of this I've heard is that voters grow comfortable with years of a steady Democratic economy and then decide to roll the dice on some exciting tax cuts when a Republican offers them

My explanation is simpler, they “feel” like what the Republicans are selling will create prosperity for them, and that feeling is stronger than empirical data. This is their default feeling are they are only shaken from it during abject economic disasters that can only be blamed on the GOP.

The myth of GOP being the party of economic prosperity, good for small businesses, and low taxes is tough to tear down. Some of my small biz owner friends have begun to realize there's a difference between tax cuts for the rich and the crumbs throw to the rest.

Come on Ds. Flood the media with this data. Maybe the media will stop the Rs propaganda narrative. I am just a retired 1st grade teacher who is frustrated with the lack of clear, honest, accurate information that should be shared by ALL Ds.
