CBS deleted this post and reposted it admitting that their original one was misleading. And the misleading post from CBS was intentionally misleading, not an innocent mistake. CBS continues to lose credibility.

I’m happy to write this argument and standard op-ed form for any publication in Michigan.

I'm asking my fellow Jews in Michigan to help elect the first Muslim American to the U.S. Senate—a devoted dad, a scholar, a visionary thinker, and a genuinely good dude. Let's be the people we hope others will be. Islamophobia and antisemitism feed the same beast. Let's starve that MFer.

As opposed to a GOP majority that is hostage to a corrupt narcissistic autocrat who is enriching himself and his family, systematically stripping Congress of its constitutional roles, and defying the courts? Yeah, I'll risk the DSA hostage takers, thanks.

Setting aside how much of his ass he's showing here, this same argument came up a few years ago, too. But the reason the far left didn't block legislation then is that, unlike the far right, the far left believes in governance.

I hope non-journalists can appreciate how embarrassing this is.

This is an actual reason why Bari Weiss’ CBS foreign editor told staff that they could not include reporting on Netanyahu receiving advance warning of a Hamas attack before Oct 7. The astonishing tirade in @status.news www.status.news/p/bari-weiss...

Hard to devise a better metaphor for the past decade and a half of Premier League football than Man City winning while playing with an extra man.

This is excellent. And much better for one of the city's most renowned avenues than simply offering multi-line through traffic.

NYC DOT unveils the final vision for transformation of the avenue (from E.46th to E.57th). “.. A reduction of two lanes of traffic, wider sidewalks, benches, space for cultural programming, a bike lane ..” (via Mark Levine)

Terms of service tend to shift over time, often with little awareness by users (fine print notice). Tech leadership has also revealed patterns of deference to authoritarian leaders over time.

Maybe it was time, but sad to see Gabriel Martinelli go, & I think he deserved better from certain people when it came to his departure. Fans connect with players who they can see love the club, and he was one of those from his very 1st appearance. He leaves as a champion, and he deserved that.

This is the natural evolution of Zuckerberg’s first project, harassing college girls by putting their faces next to each other and having the campus rate who was hotter.

Reading @emptywheel.bsky.social before coffee: tl;dr? 1) Reading plain talk about a careful & meaningful legal document reminds me that knowing your rights could depend on adopting tl;ra: habits (ra=read anyway) in a dr world 2) reading closely & thinking clearly *are also* forms of resistance.

Part 3. Paul Krugman on "Curing U.S. Healthcare". "[W]e are approaching a point at which ambitious healthcare reform, well beyond simply repairing the damage to Obamacare, will be possible. And Democrats should be prepared to rise to the occasion." It's a wrap! (... for this healthcare series) 👇👇👇
