In my book, I wrote about research into what is called the "minority collusion" belief. bsky.app/profile/volt...

For a certain kind of white man, there is no fear more primal than the fear that the people they have abused will gain power and treat them the same way.

I remember “learning” in AP US History that there would soon be, instead of a white majority, a “minority majority”. My teacher (who said a lot of racist stuff) straightforwardly said all minorities would together comprise a majority and therefore whites would be “the” only minority left 👀

TBF he fancied himself Socratic and would sometimes pose sarcastic questions, phrase things to challenge us; he could have been doing a bit at any given time 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I have a feeling he was receptive to this belief He also told us that the definition of a moderate/centrist was “what’s in it for me”

Wow. I am a little surprised this was espoused in a classroom, but I grew up hearing this in my family in the 1980’s. It struck me recently that I’m living in the year this great change was supposed to happen and instead I’m watching white supremacy on full display in positions of power.

We've seen the definition of white change as demographics change in order for "white men" to remain some sort of perceived majority. This is a basic survival tactic in order to preserve white supremacy. The fact that this movement has instead wanted to roll this back is such self-sabotage.

As a white guy from the sticks, it blew my mind watching foreign films, and starting to work with people from all over, to learn that every culture thinks they're the best and another culture just isn't human. They won't be teaming up anytime soon.

Dear Elon: Don’t ever speak for me. I don’t share your politics, your world view, or your utter lack of ethics. I don’t share your paranoia. An unfortunate lack of melanin is truly the only thing you and I would have in common.
