Folks is it good when your own party's leadership in the House is dropping "listen to the women" and MLK quotes on you while swing state members of your caucus are talking about new leadership

Many of us have been saying that he was not good enough to be a leader years ago. He has always been incompetent. I'm just glad it's now so blatant it's undeniable.

Schumer could have misread the electorate and his caucus and not put himself at existential risk, but by doing both *while* disregarding his colleagues in the House he's completely destroyed his legitimacy in 24 hours. It's really incredible.

Schumers vote will be remembered among history’s shameful moments, along with McConnell’s 2021 acquittal, allowing Trump to remain eligible for office. SCOTUS ruled only Congress could enforce the 14th Amendment’s insurrection ban, preventing states from disqualifying him Trump from running again.

McConell's legacy will be stained by his vote to acquit Trump on charges of inciting the Jan 6 insurection. A decision that allowed a proven threat to democracy to remain elegible for office. History will view this as a catastrophic failure & defining turning point in American history.

He keeps his senate seat at least through 2028 when he's up for reelection. There is zero chance he will retire early. Hopefully this incident means he loses his position as Minority Leader. Actually would be good if can oust Gillibrand as DSCC head since she was pushing for passing this too.

I actually think that if he had just done this betrayal without the bullshit Wednesday statement where he lied to try to trick the base he probably could have just deflated us and gotten away with it. When he lied on wed he unified everyone behind "fuck no" THEN tried to betray everyone.

Is it good if #CuckSchumer is selling us out for crypto money 🤔https://bsky.app/profile/natsechobbyist.bsky.social/post/3lkdsclvz222f

doesn't seem like a problem seems like a positive development better than silent acquiescence to Schumer's ill-considered surrender to Trump p.s. if you mean Pelosi, I don't consider her a leader but she did echo Patty Murray, so good for Pelosi, refreshing and surprising

The tl;dr is that Manchin early on said “I want universal pre-k” out of the PFML/CTC/pre-k portion of the bill. Schumer said “sure thing boss” then turned around and told House Dems and other Senators they could get all three. Manchin then spiked it. So we got nothing instead of universal pre-k
