Heartbreaking. 💔 Vale Rob Hirst

He was a powerful drummer, which went along with his powerful voice. So sorry for your loss. 💔

Thoughts with you three and Rob’s family tonight. There certainly have been many songs in this house tonight. 😢

Rob Hirst was an incredible musician, drummer, singer and writer. He will never be forgotten. #ValeRobHirst

Seeing Midnight Oil at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, California in 1990 changed the way I look at music and the earth. Thank you for making a difference. So sorry for your loss.

At the heart of every great band is a great drummer. RIP Rob 💔

Thoughts and heartfelt condolences to you and the Oils family.

This is very sad,ive been following the oils for 41 years,Rob seemed a very interesting character to me,i never really knew him as i know Peter,im glad there are videos to watch of Rob being interviewed by different people.

💔

He was a master of his craft. Kids like me grew up with his beats ... they beat to the heart of the 80s. RIP
