unironically? I'm getting so much value out of diagrams these days

Remember when Rational Rose was a thing that was going to make programming obsolete? I spent six months of my career writing insanely detailed UMLs for a future that never arrived

I do study the olde days pretty heavily (because it's true this stuff is cyclical and we shouldn't treat it like pop culture) but I only dimly knew about that phase enough that it rang a bell once people reminded me today
