Sadly, this is the case. If a student can't read how can they pass middle school science, English, or other classes?

Does the #ScienceOfReading apply to Secondary school teachers and adolescent learners, too?? YES!! If schools fail to teach students to read in elementary school, this puts a massive burden on our middle & high school teachers. It’s imperative they have training in the #SOR, too! #PodcastPairing

I have two high school teachers in my LETRS cohort. They completed Volume 1 last year and returned for Volume 2. They have made so many contributions to our group and remind us that struggling readers do not just exist at the elementary level.
