It was stamped with his name! A gift to the American people is something more symbolic or an enjoyable landmark or artwork to be viewed by the masses like the Statue of Liberty or the cherry trees (that he chopped down) or an animal at a national zoo. I agree he acts like a child but in this case?

The US Constitution says he can’t keep it, whether his name is on it or not. “…no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”
