I find among elite audiences contempt for the Big Bang is pretty standard. I wrote for it for eleven years btw. It never won an Emmy -- it was just a ratings hit.
I don't find it contemptible; I used to enjoy it. But then I viewed it through a more feminist/inclusive lens and found less enjoyment. If others still enjoy it; great.
